Emmys 2014: Where to watch, live stream nomination announcement
We’ve been writing about the 2014 Emmy Awards for a good percentage of the summer, but on Thursday morning, the nominations will FINALLY be official. Mindy Kaling and Carson Daly are going to present most of the major categories, and the entire list will be made available online not too long after that.
The first thing that you need to know if you want to catch the nominations live is that you better set your alarm. The nominations are going to be announced, per the Emmy website, starting at close to 8:15 a.m. Eastern time. That means that if you are on the West Coast, you better be prepared to get up at 5:15 if you are the impatient type. This is why you here so many stories about people getting woken up in the morning with stories about them getting nominated. (Yes, we still have a hard time buying that many of these people legitimately don’t get up early to see if they got some awards love or not.)
As for where you can watch it, the answer is simple: One the official Emmy website. There will be a live stream in the morning, and we’ll provide more information on that when we wake up well before the crack of dawn tomorrow. It is going to be a very busy day for us, as we start to go through some of the snubs, surprises, and worthy selections by the Emmy voters. Trust us when we say that there will be a little bit of all three, and there are not very many years when there is a full list that satisfies everyone.
Want to see some of our own personal dream nominees in advance? The we suggest heading over now to this link! You can also sign up in the event that you want to grab further scoop courtesy of our official newsletter.
