‘Doctor Who’ season 8 teaser: A warning (and possibly Davros?)

Is the creator of the Daleks back from the dead … again? Davros is almost like The Doctor himself on “Doctor Who,” given that the character never seems to go away no matter how many times they appear to be killed off.

While we do not see him in the latest season 8 teaser below, it is hard to argue that the voice in this video is anyone other than Davros. It is a very distinctive voice that sounds quite a bit like one of the Daleks, with just a few little quirks thrown in there for good measure. He does also have the same goal as all of them, and that is the destruction of The Doctor no matter what.

This is the second teaser that the BBC have released so far for the show returning August 23, and unlike the first one, this one makes no mention of the companion Clara.  Regardless, it is still beyond exciting just for the opportunity to be able to have evidence that some classic villains are going to be a part of the season. We just learned officially earlier this week that Cybermen will be returning near the end of the season, and this to us is basically proof that the Daleks will continue to have a role of their own to play.

Given that there is still a good month and a half to go until this show actually comes on the air, the one thing that we do feel with some confidence right now is that this is not the last you have seen of some of these teasers. We’ll have more as we inch closer to the show returning.
