‘Call the Midwife’ season 4: A new supporter for Miranda Hart

Fans of “Call the Midwife” have known about Miranda Hart’s talents for some times, but the actress (who is far funnier than she gets the chance to be on the BBC series most of the time) is getting a chance to show off some of her talents elsewhere this summer, as well.

Hart has spent some time filming the new movie “Spy,” and she has seemingly earned the praises very quickly of Allison Janney, a co-star who has quite the TV career right now, as well. She recently won two Critics’ Choice Awards for “Mom” and “Masters of Sex,” and also is known for her part on “The West Wing.”

Speaking to the Radio Times, Janney explained that she enjoyed working with Hart so much that she wants to see some of her other projects:

“I am now going to watch all of Miranda’s shows and Midwife Calls [sic] because I just worked with her in Budapest and fell in love with her … She’s so hysterical. I’ve got to find out how to watch all of those shows, which I intend to because she’s a genius. She’s also very tall. We bonded over our height and we had a lot of fun together.”

Given that there has been no discussion about her leaving “Call the Midwife,” we assume that Hart will be back on the series in some capacity when it airs moving forward. The fourth season is already going to be one of great transition, at least in that you already have no Jessica Raine on board following her exit.

We’ll have more on “Call the Midwife” moving forward as it becomes available, even if some news is rather few and far between right now.
