‘Big Brother 16’ houseguest spotlight: Is Frankie Grande helped by fame?

Frankie -Frankie Grande is easily, just in terms of fairness right now, the most controversial contestant on “Big Brother 16,” just because of who he is related to. Being a sibling of Ariana Grande gives you instant popularity, since there are going to be many watching and voting just because of her. It’s almost like Elissa on steroids, since Ariana’s social-media pull is substantially greater than anything the #BrenchelArmy could ever muster.

The crummy thing about the situation projection has put Frankie in with the superfans is that we’ve actually interviewed Ariana before and she was very nice, and therefore really don’t want to root against anyone in her family. It’s just hard to get excited about someone in the game when you know that America could basically tilt the competition in their favor at every opportunity.

Name – Frankie Grande

Age – 31

Location – New York, New York

Occupation – YouTube personality / actor

Strengths – Aside from the obvious popularity, Frankie seems to be a nice, fairly interesting person who is going to get along with about three-quarters of the house really well. We’ve seen online that he knows many former reality TV contestants already, so they may have given him some wisdom as to how to play the game well. Also, he may be able to cover up who he is, so long as nobody as been on YouTube with frequency. While we think he and Ariana do have similar eyes and a few other physical features in the face, nobody is going to guess anything with zero knowledge going in.

Weaknesses – Frankie will be public enemy #1 if he is ever discovered as Ariana’s brother. Also, we feel like he will occasionally struggle to keep his big personality separate from the game, and that could rub some the wrong way when they have to spend a long period of time with him.

Past houseguest comparison – You really have to look at Elissa, just based on the circumstances by which the two entered the game. With that being said, he is probably personality-wise a combination of Nick from last season and Kevin from season 11.

Prediction – Frankie is for sure going far into the game. We don’t feel like he will win, but America is going to help him to ensure that he won’t go home before the jury. The issue that this will cause, though, is that the houseguests will suspect something if the twists continue to favor him, and they will get him out as a threat the first chance that they can.
