‘Big Brother 16’ houseguest spotlight: Will Cody Calafiore score w inning goal?

Cody -The “Big Brother 16” cast is an interesting bunch, given that CBS went fairly heavy with the athletic guys here. You have a cop, and outdoor adventurer, a former baseball athlete, and a guy in Cody Calafiore who at least had a little lit of experience playing soccer.

But will this, or any skill that he has, translate well into the game? We’ve watched his new interview with Jeff Schroeder (who really needs to figure out how to make these more interesting), and made at least a preliminary judgment on how this guy will do.

Name – Cody Calafiore

Age – 23

Location – Howell, New Jersey

Occupation – Sales Associate

Strengths – Very athletic, and can win a ton of competitions depending on what is asked of him. He wants to actually win the first one, which we don’t really think is that terrible given that since season 10, Willie Hantz is the only person on the U.S. version of the show to win the first HoH and go home before the jury. Two in Rachel Reilly and Hayden Moss ended up winning. He also probably will have a good social game, and isn’t so cocky that he should fit in well with the other young people.

Weaknesses – He doesn’t seem like he knows much about the game, and as a younger player, he’ll probably think that the game is all about competitions when strategy is so much more important. We wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up blurting out the wrong thing at the wrong time, and then screwing his game along with the games of those around him.

Past houseguest comparison – He actually does remind us a little bit of Hayden, though he looks a little more like Dominic from season 13. His attitude on challenges, though, has a little bit of that Jeremy McGuire short-sightedness that has you a little afraid.

Prediction – The reason that Hayden won is because he was smart enough to be in an alliance that was large, was partially secret, and also had a strategic threat in Matt. Cody can win this game, but he needs a similar situation. Otherwise, he will be gone before the jury if he tries this hard to win every competition and puts that stamp on his chest. Threats go home early in this game, especially physical ones.
