‘Big Brother 16’ houseguest spotlight: Can Amber Borzotra strike a perfect pose?
Now that we know the full “Big Brother 16” cast, it’s time to get to something that we always look forward to doing every single season: Spotlighting all of the houseguests! This has been a tradition now that even predates starting up CarterMatt, but we always like to get our thoughts on the table before the season starts.
Traditionally, we do have a better track record with the Canadian show (picked two winners in a row there) to the US. Our only real thing to celebrate there is that both our winner pick (Candice) and our runner-up (Amanda) each made the jury. But, enough somewhat-humblebragging from us. We’re going in alphabetical order by first name, which means that Amber Borzotra is the first houseguests we’re discussing.
Name – Amber Borzotra
Age – 26
Location – North Hollywood (originally from Nashville)
Occupation – Esthetician (but she also claimed to “Big Jeff” Schroeder that she was a “model”)
Strengths – Seems incredibly clueless, and therefore perfect to stick around for a long time. She feels like someone who got approached at a bar somewhere and had no idea what the show even does.
Weaknesses – She is a terrible liar, and she comes across as a little aloof because of that. Also, nobody’s going to take her seriously. There is a certain merit to going far in the game, and she seems capable of that; but, you have to want to win! Also, there is the so-called “model curse,” which we don’t fully believe in given that Rachel Reilly at one point did some modeling.
Past houseguest comparison – We would combine Monet from season 12 and Jordan from season 11, and then you have her almost perfectly. One of these two won the game, and the other went home early.
Prediction – The only way we see Amber winning is if she has a similar situation to Jordan in season 11: She’s extremely likable, and goes along with someone who is hated. She doesn’t act like there is an overly mean bone in her body, and that should help her at least stay a while. We’ll be shocked if she’s going at any point before the top six.
