‘The X Factor’ notes: Alex & Sierra’s new video; Nicole Scherzinger speaks out
For this latest batch of “X Factor” notes, we’re going to begin with the latest video from the last winners of the American show, and then we’ll go into something about a judge that was left off of the British panel this year.
Alex & Sierra’s new video – While the clip below is not a new music video from the duo, it is a look behind the scenes at their most-recent press tour in New York promoting their single “Scarecrow,” which included stops at People Magazine as well as Billboard. These can be long, crazy days, given that you have to perform at random places and also be prepared for a variety of questions that you have either heard a hundred times, or ones you don’t know how to prepare for.
Still, we appreciate the upbeat tone of the clip, which focuses mostly on the strong relationship that these two continue to have, and also their excitement at tackling so many opportunities in the span of a day.
Nicole Scherzinger speaks out – Was Nicole asked back on the judging panel this year? We may not ever know officially everything that happened over in the United Kingdom, but it certainly seems that Simon Cowell made her decision pretty independently.
Speaking in a new interview with Alan Carr about Simon’s choice to hire the likes of Cheryl Cole and Mel B alongside himself and Louis Walsh, the former Pussycat Doll had the following to say:
“No, I haven’t heard from Simon. He made his choice so I’m just going to support everybody and it doesn’t matter as my panel last year was the absolute best … No one can replace [Gary Barlow] and Mrs O and Louis for me. But you know what, the show’s going to be crazy this year. I know it’s going to be a banger as you guys say over here.”
