‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Nick Viall, Andi Dorfman’s first date

During the season premiere of “The Bachelorette,” Nick Viall was the first man to earn a rose from her. Typically, that means very good things for at least a little while, and that a one-on-one date is on the horizon.

Nick’s date with Andi Dorfman is going to come on none other than Sunday’s new episode, which is airing obviously on a special night. Does it sound romantic? At least somewhat, given that there doesn’t seem to be anything crazy in here or gimmicks that could mess with the flow of the night. Take a look at the synopsis below (at least the portion of it focusing on this date) for some more details:

“Nick V. spends a casual day with Andi riding bikes and hiking to a private perch in the mountains, culminating in a private dinner in the clock tower of the Santa Barbara courthouse. His misgivings gradually fade as he realizes how easily he could fall in love with the Bachelorette. But will she feel the same?”

In some ways, this episode does continue a pretty sad / grim tradition of morbid themes, given the tragedy that happened in the Santa Barbara area this past week and that most of the episode Monday night is going to be set there. Of course, filming happened for the show a long time ago, and we expect this date to be happy, romantic, and everything that you would expect from this show. Nick would really have to screw this up to be sent home after getting the first rose of the entire season.
