NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 2 finale review: Who dies … and who’s alive?

Hannibal -Typically, “Hannibal” manages to shock you be not just who they mange to kill, but also how they manage to do it.

So to say that the biggest surprise of the finale Friday night involved who lived is somewhat surprising … especially when this is someone who so many presumed dead alongside ago. However, for the how it wasn’t enough of a twist to bring Abigail Hobbs back on her own; instead, some of the drama came courtesy of how she was manipulated and transformed into an unwilling monster by Dr. Lecter. Seemingly, she is responsible now for the death of Alana Bloom, who really fell victim to one of the most unfortunate horror cliches ever in running upstairs when he has to know there is really no escape there. Seriously.

As if all of this was not enough, the show also decided to include a few other shocking / terrible left turns. Is everyone really dead? We have to assume that there are terrible things in the works for Will, Jack, and Alana … depending on who out of the group survives. Hannibal was completely betrayed and in his most vicious form to date, as the fate of all three characters is left in the air. For the time being, we feel somewhat optimistic that Will is going to make it out alive, mostly because of his status as the lead. But Jack? Laurence Fishburne has a role on the new show “Black-Ish,” but it is still to be seen if that will impact his part here.

All in all, a crazy / shocking finale, and that is without even mentioning the end of the episode with Bedelia on the plane. Who knew that she was so in on this? Wow, just wow. Abigail may also be dead again … but for real this time.
