ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: Series boss on Henry Czerny’s future
“Revenge” certainly didn’t hold anything back during its season 3 finale on Sunday night, basically unleashing one shocker after another upon us … but few of them were bigger than the pair of supposed deaths, and a face who everyone thought previously to be dead. (Warning: Spoilers ahead.)
We are talking specifically here about the return of David Clarke, who managed to stab Conrad Grayson and leave him bleeding out. While we know for certain that Aiden is dead thanks to Victoria, this is something a little bit different. While in most shows it would make complete sense that he is dead, this is “Revenge” that we are talking about here. Nothing is ever 120% certain until the body is either lifeless or in the ground.
So in talking about the future of Henry Czerny on the show in an interview with TVLine, show boss Sunil Nayar was of course he was coy about what was going to happen next:
“You know what, we’re beginning to talk about next season, and we haven’t seen him actually die. I think there’s that little tug of me thinking, ‘I don’t want to lose Henry [Czerny], and that character’s so good,’ but you never know. I don’t want to say anything definitively because this is Revenge, but he’s not doing super well lying on the road there.”
Ultimately, we have a feeling that Conrad is going to find a way to make it out of this, mostly because the entire Grayson family are cockroaches. They have gone through horrible things time and time again, but somehow emerge from it on the other side as if there was never a problem in the first place. Maybe someday there will be a death of someone in this position that sticks, but it is not today.

“Kill pathetic Daniel off!!”
Amen to that. He was awesome in season 1, OK in season 2, but now he’s a pampered, spoiled, and whiny loser. Even his own actor hates the character and actually hoped to kill him off.

I don’t hate Jack as much as some people do. In my opinion, his angst and grief have a cause (losing his wife and brother to the Graysons, learning his childhood friend deceived him, learning the truths about his real mother, and getting ratted to the police by Charlotte), Daniel is a spoiled loser who has no reason to complain.
With that said, Jack has been filler in season 3; the best plotline he had was with Stevie. I’d rather he pack his bags and move to California to be with Stevie than him getting killed off.

Please let Conrad stay dead. He’s never answered for his actions and got a karmic payback tonight from David Clarke. Other than the past 3 episodes, he kind of felt like filler. Henry Czerny is an awesome actor, but Conrad has been a karma Houdini up until tonight.
The best compromise: Have Conrad appear only in flashbacks in season 4. Once Upon a Time has had dead characters appear in flashbacks numerous times and they worked well.

I agree. I hope we also see a 1986 flashback from when young Conrad meets young Victoria, would have liked to seen the early stages of their relationship.

They did plan to do that in season 3 and even cast Cody Wood as a young Conrad. Maybe the DVD will have deleted scenes.
