‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10, episode 23 video: Huge trouble for Chandra Wilson’s Bailey

While some people on “Grey’s Anatomy” right now may be watching their careers hit new heights as we near the end of season 10, there are some others that are about to see things hit the skids.

Specifically, we are talking here about Chandra Wilson’s character of Bailey, who decided to give the “bubble boy” Braden the treatment that he would need in order to improve … but against the wishes of his parents, who specifically asked for him to “get better on his own.”

This is where things get interesting. Had Bailey never said anything to the parents about what she did for their son, there is a good chance that they never would have known, and she would have been able to just go about her job without really thinking about this twice. However, her doing the right thing and admitting to doing the wrong thing per the parents’ wishes now puts much of her career in jeopardy. As Owen tells her after the fact, what the parents are thinking about now goes beyond malpractice; instead, they are thinking about pressing charges for assault and battery.

If these parents succeed in getting what they want, it ultimately means Bailey’s end as a doctor. This is frustrating, and not just for the character. It seems like lately, the majority of Bailey’s stories have been based around issues in the hospital and mistakes that she may or may not have made. We understand that she is extremely career-driven, but still. This is a lot.
