ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 22 video: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and a familiar setting

Remember the swing set? Anytime that you see Castle and Beckett here, you know that something big is going to go down. You also know that some poor kid somewhere is going to be deprived of his opportunity to hit up the playground. (Relax; only a joke!)

In the latest sneak peek below from Monday night’s “Castle” episode “Veritas,” you can see Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters engaging in what looks to be a secret rendezvous. She knows that she could have been followed to the location, which is why she shows up sporting that hood, and seems to be exceptionally careful in the event that someone caught on to her whereabouts.

Beckett’s message to her fiance is clear: Senator Bracken is in New York City, and she needs to find a way to make a move on him if at all possible. She’s not sure that she has the evidence, though, and this feels like a much more frenzied version of the Beckett character than we have ever seen before. Typically, she appears to be far more cool and collected when handling a case … but none of them are as important to her as her mother’s murder.

Will she finally put the case behind her this week? We have to hope so, since the other option is that we could see it bleed into either the finale (entitled “For Better or Worse”), or some events airing next season. We are assuming that there’ll be a next season for now, largely because there is no news to the contrary.
