‘Criminal Minds’ season 9, episode 23 preview: Two agents are in danger

With an episode title like “Angels,” wouldn’t you want to hope that the characters on “Criminal Minds” had a little something more to be hopeful about? Sadly, that is not the case based on the first promo that we have now for next week’s episode.

Specifically, the following language is used that two agents “will go down” by the end of the hour. Make a mental distinction that this is different than two agents dying, but the implications here still are not very good. “Criminal Minds” has a habit of saving horrible stuff for the end of their seasons, and we saw that just on this past new episode.

Take a look now if you want some additional details teased to you courtesy of the synopsis for this episode:

When the BAU is called to Texas to consult on the murders of prostitutes, evidence points to killings with religious overtones. But as they delve further into the investigation, the team could put their lives at risk, on part one of the two-part ninth season finale of CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, May 7 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Esai Morales returns as BAU Section Chief Mateo Cruz. Guest stars include Michael Trucco as Owen McGregor and Brett Cullen as Preacher Mills.”

Does this sound exciting to you? Personally, we are very interested in seeing how this all comes to a head, and continues into the following episode entitled “Demons,”. Two-part episodes are also something that is a staple of “Criminal Minds,” and thanks to the early pickup for a tenth season, the show will have an opportunity to craft the perfect cliffhanger ending for the future.
