‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: The latest (early) casting intel
When it comes to filming “The Originals,” work has already been done on the first season. However, in a rare twist for a network show, work is being done right away on the night batch of new episodes. There are many reasons that something like this can happen, but the likely one in the case of this show is just accommodating for filming schedules for some of the cast members. (Remember, Daniel Gillies is an extremely busy may.)
So who is the show looking for when it comes to casting now? While this may just be a tiny scoop, the show is reportedly looking for werewolves and also bodyguard-type characters for extra / background work. None of this is particularly revealing in any way, but it does show that the show is going to be continuing to highlights its roots, and that is providing drama when it comes to vampires, werewolves, and everyone else in the supernatural community of New Orleans.
Season 2 will still most likely premiere at the same time in the fall, which is around the end of September. Right now, the show just has to thank its lucky stars that it found a way to do this filming early, and that The CW chose to issue a renewal prior to the upfront presentation in May.
There are some other recurring roles that are currently being cast, but there is no real news on that for now. When we do, we will of course have it here for you at the page along with all details.
