‘NCIS’ season 11, episode 22 preview: See Mark Harmon, Pauley Perrette in ‘Shooter’ promo
We were hoping to have some more details on next week’s “NCIS” episode soon, and thanks to CBS being so kind as to air the promo after a repeat tonight, there is no reason to wait any further.
Just like with “Alleged,” this looks to be a very important episode of the show when it comes to touching on an issue that impacts many. In this case, that issue just so happens to be homeless veterans. They live on the streets mere blocks away from where the team works, and they often go without being noticed by the people who can do whatever they can to help. While she may be only featured briefly in the promo, we have it on good authority already that this is going to be a huge episode for Pauley Perrette and the Abby character. That’s a good thing to us, given that for a longtime cast member, Abby hasn’t a lot of meaty stories to tackle lately that have been about her first and foremost.
In case you did miss it from when we last posted it, take a look at the synopsis below:
“When a Marine photographer disappears prior to providing his testimony in an Army court-martial hearing, the NCIS team investigates both the murder he witnessed as well as his current piece on military veterans who are homeless in the D.C. area. Meanwhile, Abby tries to help a young homeless woman reconnect with her family.”
There doesn’t seem to be that much in this episode that will extend beyond it, but in this case we have no problem with that. As we near the end of this season character studies seem to be the focus, and we’re excited about that since there so many characters haven’t had these moments in a while thanks to either longer stories or the transitional nature of the season as a whole.
