‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 4 spoilers: How does Rollins leave the show?
At this point, odds are you know the news already if you are a fan of “Hawaii Five-0”: You are going to see a cast member say goodbye by the end of this season. Michelle Borth is checking out, and anytime that you see an character exit, especially from a show where crime is a central part of it, there is going to be an inevitable question: How is she going to go?
Well, we may now have some sort of answer for you, at least in terms of what isn’t going to happen to the character. Speaking to TV Guide, showrunner Peter Penkov makes it clear that while there is a great ending to the character, it is not one that will involve death in any way:
“She doesn’t die. She goes out spectacularly. She goes out a hero, and the door’s open for her to come back. Hopefully we’ll see her again at some point.”
This is always the preferred way to see a character go, mostly because it shows two things to us:
1. The writers are not looking to create some sort of “shock” just for the sake of getting viewers to tear up at a season finale. There are character deaths that are merited, but also many that are meant to just have jaws on the ground.
2. This means that obviously things are still amicable for all parties involved. If an actor is written off a show and will likely never return, death is an easy way to ensure that the integrity of the character is not wasted.

Whaddya mean, “still sad”?! I was overjoyed at the news, and I know from comments I’ve read that a LOT of H50 fans were! Not wishing MB any bad, but Rollins just did not need to be there. She was a fifth wheel, not part of the team. Useful while Kono was chasing Adam (Park was pregnant), yes, but not necessary any longer. As for romance–McDanno Forever!
