‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 17 preview: Jessica de Gouw returns in ‘Birds of Prey’
“Arrow” has featured its share of memorable guest characters over the years, but there are few who have had the same sort of impact as Jessica de Gouw has as the Huntress. She is one of the most notable female villains to date, and she has multiple motivations: What happened to her family, but then also what happened between her and Oliver.
So when she finally returns to Starling City, it is safe to say that there will be some trouble that ensues. So why specifically did she choose to return now? Just as you would expect, it has to do with her father. Just take a look at the full synopsis below if you want to get more scoop:
“When Frank Bertinelli (guest star Jeffrey Nordling) is arrested, Oliver (Stephen Amell) knows it’s only a matter of time before his daughter, Helena, AKA The Huntress (guest star Jessica De Gouw), returns to town. To make matters worse, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is picked to try Frank’s case, putting her right in the path of Helena. Oliver tells Sara (Caity Lotz) he will handle his ex-girlfriend, but when Helena takes hostages at the courthouse, including Laurel, the Canary will stop at nothing to save her sister. When The Huntress and Canary meet, an epic battle begins. Meanwhile, Roy (Colton Haynes) realizes he needs to keep Thea (Willa Holland) safe, but doesn’t like the way he is forced to go about it.”
In some ways, this may seem to be a little bit of a diversion from what is really going on in Starling City. However, we still have a feeling that in time, everything will tie together a little bit better than you would first imagine.
