‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: A gift, and a conclusion to the ‘New Orleans’ pilot
Tomorrow night’s “NCIS” episode may be all about washed-up rock stars, but the one that follows it is the most important episode since at least the introduction of the Bishop character. Why is that? Think along the lines of the fact that the fate of an entire new series, as well as jobs for many cast members, happen to be at stake.
Recently, we posted the full synopsis for “Crescent City,” the first part of the two-part backdoor pilot to the “New Orleans” spin-off show that featured the arrival of new characters played by Scott Bakula, CCH Pounder, and others. Today, we are here with details on the second part of that episode.
“Gibbs and Special Agent Pride (Bakula) chase leads in New Orleans after evidence points to a copycat of the infamous Privileged Killer. Meanwhile, Bishop sends DiNozzo a special souvenir from the Crescent City, as DiNozzo, McGee and the FBI continue to track political connections to the case from D.C., on the conclusion of a two-part episode of NCIS, Tuesday, April 1 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Scott Bakula guest stars as Special Agent Dwayne Cassius Pride; Lucas Black guest stars as Special Agent Christopher Lasalle; Zoe McLellan guest stars as NCIS Special Agent Meredith ‘Merri’ Brody; and CCH Pounder guest stars as Jefferson Parish Coroner Doctor Loretta Wade.”
What in the world could Bishop have to send DiNozzo? That is probably the most curious aspect of this entire synopsis to us, mostly because he is the sort of character who has plenty of money and resources to travel there at his own leisure. Ultimately, we imagine it being something that is particular significant and/or priceless to him, and it further links his character to the setting for this new show. After all, who knows? If this show is picked up, there could be many more crossover episodes coming up as we start to see the show find its own audience.
Do you like where “NCIS” is going with this proposed show, or is it far too early to tell in your mind? Either way, we want to hear your thoughts with a comment below. Also, be sure to click here to get some more hints and scoop via email.

I think a write in campaign to get rid
of Bishop is needed.

One can only hope that this doesn’t
become the Bishop show. In case anyone in charge hasn’t noticed,
since she has been on the show the ratings are down. I understand
that Zeva is gone. I loved both the character of Kate and Zeva. You
don’t have to kill Bishop, just transfer her to Timbuktu or someplace
where she will be appreciated. She is not wanted here.

One can only hope that Bishop is not going to ruin the new spin off the way she ruins the original!
With so many jobs at stake and success in their minds it is high time to listen to the audience and get rid of Bishop!

I absolutely like where CBS is going with this new show. The cast (mainly Scott Bakula) is fabulous, and New Orleans is a perfect setting for a show. So much can be done with that part of the country. Maybe they can even get Scott Bakula to sing and dance a little Cajun for us!
