‘Glee’ season 5, episode 12 preview: Dianna Agron, Heather Morris, and the 100th episode
You’ve heard about the 100th episode of “Glee” for months, and slowly heard everything from the latest castings to what it was like getting a good portion of the gang back together. Now, we are almost there. “100” airs next week, and if the promo below is any indication, the show is out to make this into more of a celebration than it would have otherwise been, given that the story is really all about the potential end of New Directions in Lima.
The notable returns for this one include such big-tie faces as Heather Morris (Brittany), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Mark Salling (Puck), and Harry Shum Jr. (Mike). Plus, Amber Riley will be around yet again to continue her little arc on the show right now as Mercedes.
Rather than really give away any particular character moment, Fox chose instead to make the official synopsis for this one out to be all about celebrating what the glee club meant to the students who were a part of it:
“Current and past members of New Directions reunite for one final assignment – to reinvent their favorite performances. But these new versions of the series’ most iconic tracks should not be seen as goodbye to glee club. On the contrary, they are celebrations of what the club has meant to each and every member.”
There are going to be emotional moments here throughout, and one other interesting little wrinkle worth reminding you of here is that almost everything that happens is going to carry over into “New Directions” the following week. That is going to be in some ways the end to the McKinley story as we know it, and the start of whatever adventures will come for the students in New York City. That’s an exciting time, but we imagine that were at least be a few assorted nostalgic moments as we start to say goodbye.
