‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4, episode 23 review: Bones, lies, and Emily and Paige’s fate
There’s only one episode of “Pretty Little Liars” left after “Unbridled,” and there is one thing that you could be assured of when it comes to this one: Drama of the highest degree would occur. There were so many stories that needed to be touched on in just a short amount of time, but let’s start with one simple name: Jason DiLaurentis.
What did we learn through here? That Ali’s brother was not exactly in rehab like he said that he was. One little lie can completely change everything. The fact that made all of this crazier was that all of this craziness unfolded while at a wedding fashion show.
There was an element of romance here as well, as clearly, Hanna and Travis are really going places together for the time being … and we actually believe that he could be good for her. Maybe. It’s hard to really ever feel good for anyone on this show since they could be lying.
The romance was not anywhere near as much in the air for either Emily or Paige, who split up just as we were getting to the point that the Liars were seemingly about to find Ali again at her hiding spot. This is the setting for next week’s finale “A Is for Answers,” and in all honesty, the vast majority of this week was just mere setup for that. While we could be upset about that in a way, we’re really not given that we at least made some progress in getting there. Also, there was some happy news that came out of Aria’s mother seemingly getting engaged. Grade: B.
