‘The Bachelor: The Women Tell All’ review: Andi Dorfman’s ‘Bachelorette’ audition tape

Andy Dorfman -…What did we miss? This is what we felt like after watching and nearly sleeping through most of Monday night’s “The Bachelor: The Women Tell All” special. This was ninety minutes of pure boredom, and really the only thing that made it slightly interesting was seeing the creative ways that the show could try to go about filling up time.

Think about it this way: There was only 91 minutes of TV tonight, which is far less than the standard one of these episodes. That is how little content that the show had to highlight. They tried to get something interesting out of Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici, and then found out a bunch of stuff we already knew: Sharleen Joynt didn’t feel it, Renee Oteri is in a new relationship (apparently she is even engaged), and many of the women still don’t care for Juan Pablo Galavis very much.

Mostly, the point of this episode was just watching the show make sure that America knows that Andi Dorfman is still single, that she is open for love, and that she is not going to completely bash Juan Pablo and look petty. She’s moving forward! We imagine that ABC knew that she was the leading candidate to be “The Bachelorette” before this episode even taped, and they wanted to ensure that she got some positive airtime. This is pretty similar and comparable to what “The Bachelorette” did last summer with Juan Pablo, who was randomly given a sit-down interview at a time when you would not think that he would. Grade: D-.
