‘True Detective’ episode 8 (finale) preview: ‘Form and Void,’ and a key to the case

HBO logoIt was only a matter of weeks ago that we were first introduced to the magic that is HBO’s “True Detective,” and now, we are looking at the end squarely in the face. Next week marks the conclusion for the “limited event” featuring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, and the story all comes back to one question: How is this story going to end?

While we learned a variety of new information about the Tuttle family and about some possible new suspects in the case during tonight’s episode, there is still plenty of room that is still open for the story to veer off in any which-way. This episode is going to in particular present you with a new lead that could alter the entire course of the case … and maybe even provide some answers. This is at least according to a very-small synopsis that was released by HBO.

One thing that we can for certain promise you right now is that there will be no continuation of this case until a season 2. “True Detective” is meant to be an isolated story, though there could be another entry of the anthology in the future featuring new actors and a new story.

The preview for this new episode focused most of its time and effort on showing us little glimpses of the man who could be a killer, and Martin and Rust really going all out in order to find the killer. This means going as far as to point guns, threaten, and break the law a little bit for the greater good. This show be one heck of an explosive conclusion.
