ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 17 preview: How Nathan Fillion factors in Stana Katic story
We’ve seen courtesy of all the other promotional material out there for Monday’s “Castle” episode “In the Belly of the Beast” that more than anything, this is a story that places the character of Kate Beckett into the forefront. She is the person who is going on an undercover mission to stop a narcotics ring, and Castle is the one that is left behind.
We showed you recently in a sneak peek from this episode that Stana Katic’s character was told not to tell Nathan Fillion’s Rick or anyone else what she is up to, and that is highlighted even more in the latest sneak peek. Beckett talks to her fiance on the phone, and tells him that she is in a “meeting” and will return home in a matter of hours. He of course tries to get some more information from her about what is going on, but she doesn’t bite at the opportunity to spill the beans. Clearly, you should just take this as even more evidence that Beckett is very darn good at her job.
But is she going to be so good as to take down this operation without any help? Even Captain Gates tells her that it will be okay if she decides that the mission is not for her, but she insists that this is still a challenge that she wants to take on. It will be interesting to see if Castle can stay away for the entire hour; in the preview he is featured more working on his next book, we we know that he has a tendency to get distracted very easily. As a matter of fact, it is sometimes quite a surprise that he is able to get any real writing done at all.
What do you think: Will Rick steer clear of this operation? Share below, and head over here to get some clues and updates from all the show we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter.

we already know that castle will know the truth. In the trailer, we heard him say that she was going to be a contract killer. So he knows the truth but later in the episode.
