‘Criminal Minds’ season 9, episode 16 preview: More details on ‘Gabby’

Tonight, “Criminal Minds” returned to TV following its Olympic hiatus, and it is getting set now to prepare for a few more new episodes moving forward. While there are some more hiatuses coming before the end of the new season, there is still a new episode airing next week at a special time: 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. What is the reason for that? Blame another little competition known as “Survivor.” Thanks to that show having a two-hour premiere, TV schedules are getting a little bit out of whack.

What we’ll you about next week’s episode of the show now is pretty simple: The title of the episode is “Gabby,” which we are assuming has to do with a character who is actually a part of this episode. Some of the other details are a little bit sketchy, but you can get an idea courtesy of our official synopsis below:

“When a 4-year-old girl goes missing while staying with a relative in Mississippi, the BAU uncovers some startling truths as the team races to find the child and bring her to safety, on CRIMINAL MINDS, at a special time, Wednesday, Feb. 26 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series star Thomas Gibson directs the episode. Ashley Jones (“The Bold and the Beautiful”) guest stars as Kate Hoffer, the missing girl’s mother.”

The fact that Thomas Gibson directed this one is probably what is going to get the most people intrigued, and if you’re looking for a full promo, have no fear: We have it for you below.
