‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9, episode 18 preview: ‘Rally,’ and the ringbear returns

When “How I Met Your Mother” returns to CBS on Monday night, you’re going to see it all: Drama, comedy, crazy moments, and also the return of what is turning out to be one of the greatest silly parts of this season: The ringbear gag. Somehow, Barney is still finding a way to keep this bit going, and keep Robin in the dark about whether or not he is actually going to go through with some sort of crazy scheme.

Unfortunately, the promo below for “Rally” really doesn’t give away much of anything. Instead, it seems to be a little more focused in reminding you that there are only six episodes remaining, and to start to get you a little bit more nostalgic about what will be coming up in the end. It’s going to be an emotional ride the rest of the way, and almost everyone involved has promised already that the tearducts are going to be going at full speed by the time this is over.

In the end, though, we do wish that there was a little bit more to go on when it comes to this promo in particular. All we know for now is that the episode is entitled “Rally,” and based on some other press materials that have been released already, a good chunk of the story is going to be based around a certain recovery that Barney has after that drunken night we saw from him earlier this season.
