‘The X Factor’ USA: Alex & Sierra, Fifth Harmony, Little Mix collide in one place
The day before Valentine’s Day, there was a serious amount of “X Factor” over in Anaheim, California thanks to one simple event: The “Neon Lights” tour. We’ve written about it before, but there hasn’t been a point this season where there were so many former contestants from the show all in one place.
Of course, this concert had the likes of Fifth Harmony (season 2 alums from America), former UK champs Little Mix, and former judge Demi Lovato all performing, but it was also attended by the American show’s reigning champs in Alex & Sierra, who have been recording their debut album in California over the course of 2014 so far. Obviously, a little showcase of “X Factor” solidarity never hurt anyone.
In case you haven’t seen many of the videos from the show so far during the tour, we’ve enclosed some for you below of Fifth Harmony performing “Miss Movin’ On,” Little Mix doing their classic “Wings,” and Demi doing “Stop the World” and “Catch Me” with Nick Jonas. Her former “Camp Rock” co-star has a very integral role working with her on this tour, and it’s nice to see him back out on the road again so soon after the breakup of the Jonas Brothers.
The “Neon Lights” tour will still travel across much of the United States and Canada over the next several months, and for Fifth Harmony in particular, this should be some invaluable experience being out on the road doing a major tour. They have performed a variety of shows before across America, but doing it in front of these sort of massive audiences is a very different sort of beast. It’s also an opportunity to expose your music to new potential fans.
