‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: See Naya Rivera, Lea Michele in new ‘Frenemies’ photos
Have you been eagerly awaiting to see what “Glee” has in store for their big midseason premiere “Frenemies”? Well, you can definitely get a quick look at some of what is coming around the bend in the new photos that we have posted below for the episode. This is one that could introduce some big stories … but also focuses a few that are probably just going to be making a few people angry more so than anything else.
After all, we know that the idea of Santana auditioning to be the understudy for Rachel Berry in “Funny Girl” has been more than infuriating for many, especially when you remember here just how much Lea Michele’s character wanted to get this in the first place. Has Santana even showed a shred of interest in the part so far? We don’t quite feel like she has. This is just yet another piece of evidence of just how bizarre and unrealistic the show has become at times. It used to be that only the musical numbers were completely rooted in fantasy, and it has become more the full show.
This is not to say that the episode will just simply be terrible, since there is a good bit of humor that could come out of most of these stories. We could see some comedy in the conflict as Rachel tries to deal with the fact that someone she knows could be out to take away her job, and make life incredibly difficult for her in the event that producers decide that they like Santana more in the end. The only part of this story that we really do like and buy is the notion that for some people, you can have the world handed to you, while others have to work extremely hard in order to make something happen.
Finally, there will at least be a story or two from McKinley High this week, just in case you really are still interested with anything that is happening there. If you hate it, just know that it’ll be over soon.
