‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: ‘Big Love,’ ‘Scandal’ alum scores guest role
If there is one thing that we have definitely learned about Shonda Rhimes over the years, it is that she does like to use some of the same actors multiple times, if that option is at all available to her. Just look, for example, at what she has done with Scott Foley … and there is now someone else that you can add to this list appearing on “Grey’s Anatomy.”
According to a brand-new report coming over from TV Guide, “Big Love” actor Patrick Fabian has scored a pretty important gig on the ABC drama series moving forward, and will recur as some sort of pediatric surgeon who shares some scenes with at least a few of the series regulars. Unfortunately, that is all that we can say for the time being. Given that there are still a solid twelve episodes or so to go until season 10 is over, it’s fair to say that the possibilities are pretty endless.
So what other Shondaland series has Fabian appeared on? Not only has he done a gig on “Scandal” already, but he has also appeared on “Private Practice” in the past. The latter makes things a little weird in that this is technically in the same universe as “Grey’s Anatomy,” but let’s not sit here and pretend that this is the first time that this has ever happened … because it’s not.
“Grey’s Anatomy” returns to ABC on Thursday, February 27, where it will air the first of many action-packed episodes that are going to come on the air every week until the finale. In case you’re wondering whether or not this season is the series-ender, the recent contracts signed by Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey signal more to come. There will be a life for the show still, even without (sadly) Sandra Oh in the cast.
