‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Talking the Huntress, the Canary, and ‘Birds of Prey’
“Arrow” continues to somehow finding ways to be awesome, and for their episode airing on March 26, they are going to be bringing back a character that everyone has been looking forward to seeing again since last season: The Huntress.
Why hasn’t she shown up more than she has? The simplest answer to that is merely that Jessica de Gouw has been a very busy woman as of late, thanks mostly to her work on another drama in “Dracula,” which did not film even anywhere remotely close to Vancouver. It wasn’t really possible for her to come ever until she had the time in her schedule, and also the writers came up with the perfect place for her.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim has been tweeting out a few little hints here and there on what is going to be coming up, and some of the basic suggestions of what we have seen are that you can expect to see a mission that revolves a little bit around both the Canary and the Huntress. Whether or not they are actually on the same page remains to be seen, but with the title for this one being “Birds of Prey,” and there being so much weight attached to that thanks to DC Comics lore, you have to imagine that there are some very cool things still under a heavy lock and key here.
We know that Laurel will also have a certain amount of involvement here, as well, but the question there is whether or not she is going to know that Sara is the Canary. While it seems in theory that it would be obvious given that the Canary is really just Sara in a mask, who knows? She also wasn’t present for some of the violent showdowns in the past the same way that her father was.
We’ll be eagerly looking forward to this and a ton of other great “Arrow” episodes throughout the hiatus.
