NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 6 trailer: Adam Levine begs; Shakira, Usher, battle
The new season of “The Voice” is set to premiere on NBC come Monday, February 24, and it looks to be very much a case of not reinventing the wheel at all. If you really enjoy what the first five seasons of the show brought to the table, then you will probably also enjoy this and then some.
Mostly, the 150-second trailer below is designed to give you a full spectrum of the blind auditions … and mostly the antics of all of the coaches. Shakira dances to get the attention of her team members, whereas Usher shows off some insane gold shoes and Adam Levine does his typical bit of begging and pleading. Shakira tries to use the whole “girl power” angle, while Blake Shelton tries to basically force anyone who lives within a two-state radius of Oklahoma to come on board his team.
Does all of this look fun? Sure, but the one thing about this that has us really worried is the news that there are a ton of four-chair turns this season. On one side of the coin, this means that there is a good many arguments between the coaches, and also that there could be great talent; however, at the same time this could mean that the coaches aren’t being selective enough with what they want. What we like about “The Voice” UK is that you have a guy in will.i.am who is really picky, and he only turns around under a few select occasions.

I just want to see Usher get a win. His devotion to his contestants and his unique coaching methods were great Season 4. Had Danielle Bradbery not been such a prodigy, he would’ve had his win.
