‘The Originals’ spoilers: More tough times ahead for Joseph Morgan, Claire Holt

Have you been particularly interested for whatever reason in seeing some of the characters on “The Originals” really go through some serious stuff? If so, the the episodes from February 25 onward are going to really interest you. That is when you will bear witness to some of the craziest stuff related to Klaus and Rebekah that we have seen on the show in quite some time.

Speaking to TV Guide, executive producer Julie Plec suggests that when the show returns, Genevieve is going to make some of her own intentions so much clearer, and it will be interested to see her go after in some ways Claire Holt’s character even more than Joseph Morgan’s:

“We go outside of the Quarter and we put Rebekah and Klaus into a trap situation in a creepy, horrible, messed-up sanitarium from back in the day … We’ll learn why Genevieve’s revenge is so specifically targeted toward Rebekah and what she’s going to do to make Rebekah suffer as much as possible.”

Does this sound exciting? Sure, but what we are actually the most interested in when it comes to “The Originals” in the long-term is the sort of freedom that the writers are going to have to come up with as many different stories as they can. They will not be really burdened in any way by having to rush through anything; while there is no season 2 renewal confirmed for the show just yet, that is the sort of thing that could come up any week now.
