‘The Bachelor’: Clare Crawley defends actions with Juan Pablo Galavis in ocean
Is there really that much of a controversy at all regarding what Clare Crawley and what she did with Juan Pablo Galavis in the ocean? If you listened to what the latter said on the new episode of “The Bachelor” Monday night, then you would be inclined to think so. He was noticeably upset about the two’s makeout session while at the cocktail party, talking constantly about fairness and whether or not he should have done it with a daughter at home.
But, he seemed to have no doubts at all in the moment; not only that, but he also seemed to be more than fine with it the following day before the cocktail party. What changed? We’ll never really have an idea, but Clare herself made sure in a conference call this week that there was not doubting at all that there was anything more that took place beyond what you saw on TV:
“I don’t think it was made clear by anybody that that’s not what happened … that wasn’t my intention going into it [and] everyone in the situation knows that’s not what happened … I was doing something that was on my bucket list and I don’t regret it, to this second, even after this outcome … I just want the reality of it to be out there and the truth to be out there instead of the short clips people are seeing.”
Clare also said that even while watching this episode this week, she was not any less confused than when she was initially:
“Even just watching the episode, it still throws me off because I’m sitting here saying, ‘What did we do wrong?’ All the reasons he [gave] to me were [about] his daughter, but as you saw, he took me into his suite to go swimming in his pool. If anything, that to me is a little more questionable and I had doubts about that more so than the ocean … there was no line drawn.”
