NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 6: Blake Shelton teams up with The Band Perry
With “The Voice” season 6 premiering on Monday, February 24, this means that we are now getting an opportunity to hear a little bit about some of the people joining the artists for some time to perform: Specifically, we are talking here about the advisers for the battle rounds.
It was not that long ago that we first shared that Shakira would be working with none other than Blake Shelton’s wife Miranda Lambert … which was both funny and all sorts of awkward at the same time. So how is this for a new twist? In a new photo from E! News, it was revealed that Blake himself is working with another hot country act in The Band Perry.
Do we like the choice? From one standpoint, sure! This is without a doubt one of the most-popular bands out there right now in the country world, and “The Voice” has always done a great job when it comes to getting people out there who are actually knowledgeable about what it takes to make it in the current music industry. Also, they are traditionally more supportive than some of the other shows, though the frustration with that does come in that unlike Harry Connick Jr. on “American Idol,” you leave without getting some of the great, honest feedback that you would hope for.
Blake’s team is once again poised to be a powerhouse this time around, as he has to be motivated after losing his first season in years this past go-around. He’ll be re-energized, and will not have that stigma of being the guy that is just automatically going to win.
What do you think about The Band Perry’s selection as adviers? Are you all for it? Share your thoughts below, and we’ll have more news on the future of “The Voice” as it becomes available. Also, hit up the link here if you want to get some more news from the CarterMatt Newsletter.
