‘King of the Nerds’ episode 2 podcast with Jessa: Volcanoes and other eruptions
Is it fair to say that “King of the Nerds” crossed into nerdier ground this week? Possibly, given that we had a science fair, an alien autopsy, and also proof that most real-life nerds do not get along with one another. This is what happens when you have big egos that clash with one another repeatedly, and also situations that cause someone’s feelings to be hurt.
Clearly, Zack’s Joker-like, but admittedly entertaining, descent into madness (chronicled in our full review of last night’s episode here) is something that CarterMatt.com co-founders Matt Carter and Jessa discuss at length in their second “King of the Nerds” podcast of the season below. Was Zack right to be so upset, and did Nicole hurt her own game dramatically by hiding her background from the other players?
Also, we go through all of the individual facets of the science fair competition, whether it be the lame (the idea of volcanoes being something more than a seventh-grade project) or the awesome (Bill Nye, and Jack having the atomic balls to actually impersonate Bill Nye in front of him). There is talk about “World of Warcraft,” “Final Fantasy,” and of course the idea of trying to set a science project in Middle-Earth.
At the end of this episode, Matt and Jessa go through their personal favorites in the competition right now, and also preview next week’s cosplay showdown. All in all, a podcast worthy of your ears! If you don’t have time to do some at your computer, take us with you! Subscribe to our podcast over on iTunes, so you never miss a new episode. Pending some sort of future glitch in the system, we will have a new “King of the Nerds” podcast available to you every Friday for the rest of the season.
