‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7 spoilers: First look at ‘Lost’ alum as Raj love interest

Ready for Raj to get his romance on during “The Big Bang Theory” the rest of the season? Then you are probably going to enjoy what is going to be taking place come Thursday, February 6. There is an episode coming that features Kunal Nayyar’s character being forced to visit the vet, and his panic surrounding the subject could end up in his favor helping to get a certain woman to fall for him.

As we have reported previously, “Lost” alum Tania Raymond is going to guest-star in this episode as the veterinarian at the center of this story. Leonard and Penny come close to killing his beloved dog Cinnamon by accident, and that leads to the emergency visit with the pooch.

If you want to get a few more details, The Hollywood Reporter did more today than just post this first-look image of Raymond in the role. They also featured this quote about the part from showrunner Steven Molaro:

“Everybody winds up spending the night in the vet’s office. Maybe the vet is a cute young lady and maybe Raj is so worried about his dog that for one night he’s not a nervous jackass and he’s charming. We’ll see what happens from there.”

As for what the future for this character could be, for the time being it is somewhat up in the air. Raymond could be back for a couple more episodes depending on whether or not the writers come up with something else interesting for her to do. Raj doesn’t have any other romantic prospects on the horizon now that Lucy is presumably with someone, so that could be promising for him to move forward here with here. Of course, we see the big problem being Raj actually being able to handle being a good boyfriend when he’s not so transfixed on panicking / caring for his dog.
