‘The Walking Dead’ midseason finale preview: Trying to make sense of this video

AMC has a habit of releasing sneak peek videos for every episode of “The Walking Dead,” but we at least like to imagine that most of them make way more sense than this one does.

There is not really too much to take from this video below, with the exception of seeing what sort of impact The Governor can have on people. Doesn’t the zombie look from far away a little bit like him? If we were trying to play a guessing game here, that is what we would take from this in terms of what is going on.

But this video is not exactly what you were looking forward to given everything we saw set up in the last episode. There is bound to be some death that takes place here, as The Governor starts to once again some some of his true colors. While we still want to believe that the likes of Rick, Daryl, Glenn, and Maggie will remain safe, we’re not quite so sure about anyone else. The problems that the folks in the prison are facing right now are twofold. Not only are they concerned about figuring out their own way to survive the sickness that has spread like wildfire, but there is also this obvious danger to deal with.

No matter what happens in terms of who lives and who dies, you can still probably expect this finale to serve a purpose of establishing some sort of huge cliffhanger between the fall and spring seasons. They want to leave you either excited about something, or discussing a few key stories with your friends. Either way, we would assume that Robert Kirkman and company would be smiling from ear to ear. (Possibly getting some enormous ratings would also surely help matters.)
