ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 9 preview: Scoop on big Tamala Jones – Jon Huertas episode

Esposito -Tonight’s “Castle” season 6 episode “Disciple” is, without question, one of the biggest of the fall thus far. It has a fascinating case that gets the entire precinct involved, and there are at least a few twists that you won’t see coming, regardless of whether or not you have been able to predict some of the more detailed elements of this case.

But thanks to it being a November sweeps episode, this is one of the few out there that we have to be extremely coy about as to not give any of the major twists away. We are still going to do our weekly “6 things to expect,” but you may have to use your imagination a little bit more than ever before if you want to figure it out.

1. You’ve already seen one major murder take place of a woman who looks almost identical to Lanie, and this is not the only bizarre that will occur during this episode under these sort of bizarre circumstances.

2. While the entire precinct is involved in this case, don’t expect any of Alexis for the second straight week. Similarly, Castle’s mother Martha is also missing in action.

3. Save for our leads, Tamala Jones and Jon Huertas each give some great performances in the episode. While you don’t quite get as many moments about Lanie’s past as you may have been hoping, she does play an important role; not only that, but there are some good moments between her and Esposito that give you an impressive of the couple’s current relationship.

4. Annie Wersching of “24” guest-stars in this episode as Dr. Kelly Nieman, who is visited by Castle and Beckett after it was revealed that the Lanie lookalike visited her in an effort to change her appearance. When you consider the caliber of actor that Wersching is, assume that there is probably more here than what you see in the sneak peek at this link.

5. The last 20 minutes are so shocking that it’s best not to say anything, and will set the stage for something that happens a little later on in the season / series.

6. On the romance front, Beckett and Castle at least talk honeymoon plans briefly during the episode, and Rick has the challenge of finding a romantic getaway that he has not already been on with one of his ex-wives.

Last week’s “A Murder Is Forever” is the closest that this season of “Castle” has had to a dud, but we’re happy to say that overall, the show picks itself up and moves forward with “Disciple.” It’s a great episode, and while we know that you are running into direct competition courtesy of “The Voice,” it’s still worth checking out.
