‘Glee’ season 5: Adam Lambert teases Starchild gig, talks crying, drunk-dialing, Avicii

The latest -

In just a matter of  few hours’ time, you are going to be getting your opportunity to finally see Adam Lambert on “Glee.” The singer / former “American Idol” star kicks off an arc as Starchild on the show tonight, and you can probably hear way more about the story behind the episode now than you probably ever hoped to thanks to his interview with Ryan Seacrest, otherwise known as the man formerly responsible for announcing his fate to the world on the singing competition.

So here is a quick summary of what happens to Starchild on “A Katy or a Gaga.” He’s a college guy who shows up to audition for a part in Kurt’s band, hoping to impress them with a performance of “Marry the Night” that is completely over the top and out there. Unfortunately for him, the crowd is a little bit divided in terms of what they think of it. Chris Colfer’s Kurt in particular is not pleased by how out there he is, and actually tries to shut him down out of jealousy. Heck, it sounds like he may not even make the band at all.

Of course, there is going to be much more of the story than that … but that is all that Adam was willing to divulge, while joking at the same time that Fox was probably going to go after him just for sharing as much as he already did on the subject.

There are a few other funny lines enclosed in here, including Adam opening up about the last time he cried, if he remembers drunk-dialing someone, and was it was like working with Avicii on a recent song from the DJ’s album. Avicii has blown up this year, especially thanks to the success of the hit single “Wake Me Up” cross multiple formats.

There are three videos in total from Adam’s appearance on Seacrest’s show, and this should at least provide a good bit of entertainment for you to last a while.
