‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 15 spoilers: ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star takes on another troubled man
Just as we have seen with Wayne Unser on “Sons of Anarchy,” we have seen Dayton Callie deal with all sorts of tricky stuff … and a good bit of it not necessarily being of the legal variety. Just in terms of what he has been forced to deal with over the past few years when it comes to Gemma and Jax Teller, he deserves some sort of recommendation for that alone.
But for Callie, he is going to be moving on soon from one show to the next for a new guest arc as another man whose responsibility, at least in theory, is going to be upholding the law. According to a report from TVLine, the actor is going to be appearing on an upcoming episode of “Law & Order: SVU” season 15, playing the part of a New Jersey judge who is brought in under suspicion of sex trafficking. This is going to be quite possibility the same combination of disturbing and surprising that you have come to expect from this show, but there is no guarantee for the time being that he is the guilty party.
For those of you carving out conspiracy theories that Callie getting another gig means something for his future on “Sons of Anarchy,” you might as well just stop that right now. The FX drama is wrapping filming for season 6, so he will be free to do some other gigs for a while, and still return for season 7 if the story allows for it. Given that this show comes from a very dark and dangerous place, it’s possible that anyone can die at any moment; we just don’t want to see Unser go anytime soon since he has brought an interesting dimension to the show, especially as some of his old ties to the police have slowly started to wither.
What do you think about Callie landing this gig now, and do you always appreciate seeing a different take on one of your favorite TV actors? Share your thoughts in the comment box below! “Law & Order: SVU” will return next week with a very disturbing episode called “Dissonant Voices”.
