‘The Carrie Diaries’ season 2, episode 3 preview: Culture and Carrie and Sebastian
Did Carrie really think that she was going to get herself over Sebastian that quickly? Despite her claims on “The Carrie Diaries” next week in “Strings Attached” that she was going to detach herself from the character, she is going to find out pretty quickly that this is not going to be a very easy thing for her to do. What begins as an attempt to try and relax and unwind at an event all about Japanese culture ends up turning into something very different.
Oh, and at some point, you are also going to see Samantha Jones try to romance a ninja … just because that is what she does.
Take a look at the full synopsis for this episode below:
“Larissa (Freema Agyeman) returns from her summer in Kyoto and insists on taking Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) and Walt (Brendan Dooling) to a fabulous Japanese festival in the city, where Larissa meets Samantha (Lindsey Gort), with an explosive result. Samantha seduces an acrobatic Ninja. Back in Castlebury, Carrie’s plans to remain Zen backfire when she finds herself locked in a classroom alone with Sebastian. Mouse (Ellen Wong) helps Maggie (Katie Findlay) with her college applications, but Maggie is distracted when somebody from her past reappears. Meanwhile, Walt (Brendan Dooling) worries that his classmates will sense he is gay, and Harlan (guest star Scott Cohen) makes an offer Tom (Matt Letscher) can’t refuse.”
So far on “The Carrie Diaries,” we have to say that this season is at least delivering on the fun. It still doesn’t have the emotional weight of “Sex and the City” to the point that we care about most of these characters, but two episodes in and the show feels like it has a better idea of what it wants to be than it did during season 1. Now, we just have to see if it is going to find a way to actually convince some more people to watch every week.

I want Carrie and Sebastian to sort out there problems, work out how to be friends at least and Walt to open up that he is gay and not be ashamed of it.
