‘Game of Thrones’ season 4: Who is sharing nice words on Emilia Clarke?

When “Game of Thrones” first started up on HBO a few years ago, life was very different for most of the show’s stars. While you may have heard of Sean Bean, Lena Headey, and Peter Dinklage, the likes of Emilia Clarke, Kit Harrington, and others were all unknowns to most audiences (especially Americans). Much has changed since that time. Clarke has leveraged her part as Danaerys to both movie roles and a stint on Broadway, and this is something that many of her co-stars have witnessed over the past few years.

But isn’t now as good of a time to reflect as any other? We think so, especially given that season 4 is wrapping up filming, and some of the more established stars have seen the characters grow up. Just take a look, for example, at what Iain Glen had to say as a part of a new interview with The Guardian that was largely a profile of his co-star, who has a new movie coming out in “Dom Hemingway”:

“It was a massive role for a young actor to take on, and I know the producers were nervous of the big arc that the character would have to take. Emilia herself would admit she worries about stuff, but it gives her focus and it’s not a destructive worry. I just found her a delight, and eager to learn.”

Glen also joked in the interview that certainly, Emilia does not really need much of his help or advice anymore. That’s how great of a career that she has going right now, where she is actually having to arrange her schedule so that she can get pretty much everything that she wants done accomplished. He also has a unique perspective on Emilia, given that this is one of the few scene partners that she has had over the years. Thanks to the unique nature of filming, she only ends up meeting some of the other stars of the show except for promotional occasions and photo shoots. (She just recently met Tywin Lannister in Charles Dance.)
