‘Bones’ season 9, episode 7 will air on a Monday; Fox delays move (and also ‘Raising Hope’)

What's ahead -Now that we are done drying our eyes after what was a very emotional and beautiful wedding ceremony between Booth and Brennan on “Bones” season 9, we suspected that the series would move to it’s new Friday night timeslot. SO is that what’s happening?

After long suggesting that the show was going to be shifting over to a timeslot on Fridays after the World Series came to a close, Fox decided instead to keep the show in the same spot that it is currently in for at least a little while longer. “Bones” will return with its 7th episode of the season on November 4, and will then air again on the 11th. The show will move to Fridays starting on the 15th, and will hopefully keep most of its viewership in the process. Remember, after all, that this is not an easy timeslot to succeed in given that so many people choose to go out on the town rather then sitting around at home and watching TV. This challenge will also be transferred over to “Raising Hope,” which will air after “Bones” starting that same Friday with back-to-back episodes. Yes, this gives the impression that Fox only brought the show back to bury it for syndication, but we actually think it will do just as well here as some of their comedies are doing on Tuesday nights.

On a different note, Fox has decided to give their new series “Almost Human” a two-night premiere starting on Sunday, November 17, when it will receive a nice benefit courtesy of NFL football. Following that, it will shift into its Monday timeslot and be paired with “Sleepy Hollow,” which right now is a pretty good show to be paired with. While we don’t know if this series has the same edge that Fox needs right now, it’s at least something sci-fi to make up for there being pretty much nothing else in the genre on network TV right now that is particular amazing. (We don’t consider “Arrow” sci-fi more so than just action.)
