‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: New promo promises ‘nowhere is safe’

More news -There is something that you can almost always promise when you have a show on the air like “The Walking Dead“: Nowhere is ever going to be safe! This is why we find the new promo for the show’s October 13 premiere to be a little bit obnoxious in a way. Did we actually start thinking that there was anywhere that the walkers would not be able to get to this group? Sure, the prison has its safeguards, but there are a lot more of them than there are humans, and one little mistake can open up the floodgates and cause a whole mess of trouble.

With all of this being said, the promo still looks rather fantastic. There is action, violence, characters screaming, people in serious danger, and Daryl Dixon reminding us in a subtle way of just how awesome he is. It may be more of the same from an action point of view, but given how much viewers enjoy what they have seen so far, that is not necessarily a bad thing.

What is a little bit interesting about the promotional campaign for the show is that based on what we have heard to this point, there is actually more time spent on character-building than action this time around. While there will still be plenty of reasons to be afraid for these survivors, new showrunner Scott M. Gimple has made it a priority that we really care and feel for the people this year, and to tell stories that are more personal to all of them. This may be where some of the motivation comes out for some episodes specifically geared towards the Governor.
