2013 Emmys: Where to watch, live stream red carpet pre-show, backstage interviews
Tonight marks what many consider to be television’s biggest night, at least when it comes to handing out awards: The Emmys. There will be plenty of glamour tonight, just there will probably also be plenty of surprises as we will hopefully see a few upsets. This is one of the few chances that people in the TV industry have to shake things up, and this seems to finally be the year when “Breaking Bad” could finally win for Outstanding Drama Series.
When it comes to actually drawing out excitement over the show tonight, Neil Patrick Harris and company have their work cut out for them. They have to find a way to keep people watching at the same time that “Breaking Bad” and the “Dexter” series finale are on, and we cannot really imagine that this is going to be an easy thing for them to do … let alone while “Sunday Night Football” is running.
So where can you actually watch this year’s show? The broadcast itself should start at around 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, as CBS has preempted “60 Minutes” to ensure that the show starts on time despite NFL football doing its typical thing and running late. (If overtime happens, it’s feasible that it could still start late.)
Meanwhile, E! will be broadcasting their red carpet pre-show at around 6:00 p.m. Eastern, and you can live stream special coverage at the link here. Just so that you’re aware, it is possible that the internet coverage will be different than what you would see if you were to actually tune in and watch the network itself.
At around the same time, the Emmys themselves will be starting up their backstage live stream here, where you can see things from a production point of view. During the show, this is also where you can see how certain people react to their big wins.
Do you want to read more Emmy coverage? We’re going to have it for you all night long in a couple of different ways:
1. You can bookmark the link here and refresh during the show.
2. Also, you can click on the Emmy imagine to the right, which will take you to the same page.
