‘Big Brother 15’ finale: Aaryn Gries on ‘firing,’ says more agencies want to meet with her

The latest -Now, we introduce you to a little problem known as expectations. We get that there were millions of Americans chasing Aaryn Gries down the street with a pitchfork (at least metaphorically) throughout “Big Brother 15,” and maybe some of these people feel satisfaction now that she is out of the house and realizes that most of the world hates her.

But for those of you wanting to have that retribution you were hoping for? You’re really not going to get what you want out of this, and it’s due to two reasons: PR, and the face you put on for the public. Save for an apology, Aaryn’s not going to submit to her detractors and stop living her life. Take, for example, her comments to The Hollywood Reporter suggesting that she was planning to split from her modeling agency before the show, and them famously dropping her after her racist comments doesn’t really mean anything to her at all:

“I was on the rocks with the agency before I even came here, and I do have more opportunities, more agencies that are wanting to meet with me that I’m going to meet with [Thursday]. It’s all good. I’m going to move up.”

So who in the world is going to be meeting with Aaron? We have no clue, but it should also be noted that while she gave many of her comments since the show ended, she has been flanked by a pair of publicists. Her family did hire a PR firm earlier this summer to deal with the backlash, which suggests to us something very clear: These people have money, and she really did not need to win in the first place for that reason.

So in the end, you can dislike Aaryn and never want to see her on TV again. (We’re with you on that one, as she was also boring to watch in addition to her being awful.) But the events since the “Big Brother” finale do prove yet again that there’s really not much good that comes from rooting for people to fall on their faces. It’s really just an easy way to not always get what you want.
