‘Big Brother 15’ live feed updates: The latest irony update has arrived
But when it comes to the finale that is airing on Wednesday night, we are mostly curious to see how these people re-enter the real world. This is going to be a major shock to their system to learn that this is perceived as a season worse than “Big Brother 9,” and one where so many people have either lost their jobs, or been put in a position where they are going to have a hard time getting back to work. We feel especially bad for people like Helen, who will be forever linked to a bad season despite being a pretty good person who never said anything wrong.
Andy and Spencer talked today like they are going to have confetti and all sorts of excitement raining down upon them, but little do they know. It’s almost the same way that GinaMarie feels about Nick. In the other half of our irony update today, she talked about how excited she is to get out, and expressed hope that the two could make it work, since she has been trying so hard for almost a decade to meet the right guy for her. While Nick has been a complete gentleman about everything, we still don’t really feel like this is going to work out well for them after everything she has said.
As these three wind down for the next 48 hours (which is going to contain nothing eventful, given that production isn’t going to give them anything to celebrate the rest of the way since it will never air), what we really hope for the post-game is that they get whatever they deserve professionally, and then they are able to move forward and live their lives without getting harassed / death threats. Being unlikable is enough, and we still can’t believe that Andy is hated in some ways worse than the other two despite not making any racist comments at all. This is just another part of this strange season and strange world that we live in.

I started watching because I’m a part of Chicago’s improv community and also heard this group was particularly bigoted and CBS was hiding it. I’ve felt badly for Andy and rooted for him.
But as I’ve watched more of the After Hours show, Andy has joined in with the racist Candice impressions. Pretty disappointing coming from a guy in his position. Can’t even chalk it up to game play – you can say someone is annoying without slipping into an ebonics-laden impersonation. Candice could be combative, but it usually seemed she was defending herself or responding to being treated poorly and discriminated against. Could you imagine GM dealing with the same circumstances? Amanda? They would have probably been swinging within the first week. Candice seemingly kept her mouth shut more than I have managed in a similar circumstance.
Despicably, CBS included Candice in a goofy “crying montage,” complete with comedic music underscoring. While others cried about gameplay subjects/being betrayed, Candice never uncovered her face or spoke a word, just sat with wracking, heaving sobs. Cried most likely from the ignorant comments, from being outnumbered amongst bigots and apologists, from putdowns her parents probably endured. She belonged nowhere near that montage, and CBS once again got it wrong.
I voted for Candice to get the money. I love Judd, and Andy had his fine points, but both went along with and celebrated the worst offenders. She endured worse than most others in the house. Reparations are the least the public can do. I hope others follow suit, if only to send a message.
Tonight they discussed what was the worst things each contestant did. No one told GM yelling about “blackness” to GM’s face, nor the over-the-top low blows saying Candice’s mother didn’t want her.
