‘Homeland’ season 3 spoilers: A dive inside the world of Dana Brody
When “Homeland” season 3 picks up on Sunday, September 29 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern, it’s going to be to a chorus of differing reactions when it comes to the Dana Brody character. From one standpoint, there will be an understandable amount of frustration that builds up where there is so much focus placed in a character that is by most intensive purposes irrelevant to most of the larger characters. Do you think that Saul or the CIA keep themselves up late at night worrying about Brody’s daughter? Probably not.
Yet, Dana’s story is going to be among the most interesting when the new season starts up. We will see her in a very vulnerable place from the beginning, recovering both literally and figuratively from what has happened to her. She is going to be in need of help, and the photo attached here is an example of what her mother tries to do in order to help her to find it.
Without giving anything major away, we can officially say that what Jess Brody does here may not exactly have the intended result. Dana is instead going to go down a very interesting, isolated path this year for answers, and for whatever reason, she is not bothering to connect with one of the only people out there who could help her (in her brother). It’s a strange position where no one can fully understand what she is going through, regardless of their age. How do you sympathize with someone whose father is hated by everyone in the country, especially when you may or may not feel like he is fully guilty?
