‘How I Met You Mother’ season 9: A wedding veil and more in new promo art

Does anyone else feel like “How I Met Your Mother” uses relatively the same sort of promotional material every season? When it comes to the image to the left (first shared by SpoilerTV), it definitely feels that way. This seems almost like something perfectly suited for a DVD cover more so than promo art (and it may end up being that), but for now, we will take just whatever we happen to get for the show.

The biggest addition here is Robin sporting a wedding veil and also a bouquet of flowers, which is yet another reminder that Barney and Robin’s big wedding is the one event this year that just about everyone is excited to see. With this being said, it is almost bizarre that given this series is about finding the mother at the end of the day, the wedding somehow still gets center stage. (Then again, CBS also uses Neil Patrick Harris often to promote the show even more than they do Josh Radnor, despite the show being told from his perspective.)

You’ve probably heard many of these details before, but in case you haven’t, this season of “How I Met Your Mother” will chronicle everything leading up to the big wedding of Robin and Barney, including potential mother prospects for Ted and Marshall’s decision to take a position as judge in New York City. Cristin Milioti may not be pictured here, but she is a new series regular in the role of The Mother, who will spend time with a variety of the other characters before eventually meeting Ted.
