‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: Series boss teases 250th episode, other surprises

More news -While the 250th episode may not have the same sort of excitement attached to it as the 200th or the 300th of any given show, it is still a pretty amazing accomplishment to make it this far into a run for something that creates somewhere between 22 and 24 hours of TV a year. It’s an honor that only one other drama on CBS right now has made it to (see “CSI”) and it’s something that does of course merit a little bit of a celebration.

As to what is going to be specifically done in order for “NCIS” to celebrate this year, you can expect something that is both different and surprising within the context of everything that you know already about the series. Speaking to TVLine executive producer Gary Glasberg offers up this one tiny tease to get you excited several months in advance:

“[It is] something that the show definitely hasn’t done before. It’ll be unique, I promise you that!”

But will it be unique to get viewers excited beyond the first few episodes of the season? That is one of the major questions right now, considering just how controversial of an off-season that it has been so far. By the time the midway point of the season is here, though we can tell you that there will be some interesting stories that lie ahead for Tony that stem from Ziva’s exit in the second episode, and that the “triangle stuff” coming between Abby, McGee, and his new girlfriend Delilah (Margo Harshman) should create some great dynamics. There is also another villain coming to the show, and it will hopefully strike the fear into the heart of someone.
