‘Glee’ season 5: Chord Overstreet praises Demi Lovato, shares Darren Criss photo

We are just over the three-week mark now until the return of “Glee” with its fifth season, and while getting some scoop from the show is currently scarce (primarily because we and other sites are choosing to keep things dark on the story for the Cory Monteith tribute episode), we do have a couple of other little tidbits from the world of Chord Overstreet.

First of all, just take a look at the image below from Chord’s Instgram to see a look at a very sophisticated version of Darren Criss. Given the amount of hair gel here and the outfit, it is fair to say here that we are looking at an image of Criss as Blaine rather than the actor himself. It’s far too difficult to guess why he is dressed like this, but we know that the first episode of the show in particular is going to be very Blaine-heavy as he tries to figure out whether or not Kurt is really interested in having a future with him, and there could even be a proposal thrown in there at some point.

Meanwhile, Chord also recently posted on Twitter a very simple message expressing how he feels about Demi Lovato joining the show: “@ddlovato gonna be amazinngggg!!” It’s pretty hard to do anything other than agree with him here, given that she has both the acting experience and the vocal pipes to do very well on this show.

As for what is going to happen with Sam himself on the rest of this season, we reported recently that a “Spring Awakening” alum has been cast to play his love interest, which is someone who he can hopefully be paired with for a long time rather than just while we wait for person X to get back with the person they were intended to be with.
